Baker Boy Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough

From the delightful aroma of fresh-from-the-oven rolls – without the hassle of mixing ingredients – to the mouthwatering sweetness of each bite, these applications will sweeten up your bakery or restaurant offerings.

Let’s check out some fun applications you can use to go beyond the typical cinnamon roll and offer a world of cinnamon-infused delectable possibilities.

Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls

    • Place Baker Boy’s Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough into greased quarter sheet pan.
    • Proof 45 to 60 minutes or until double in size.
    • Bake approximately 16-19 minutes between 325 and 375 degrees, depending on the oven.
    • While baking, fry or prepare ready-to-use bacon. Crumble the bacon.
    • Once the rolls are done, let them cool before adding Baker Boy Maple Icing (Item #44123).
    • Finish it off by sprinkling a generous amount of bacon over the iced rolls.

Cinnamon Roll Pull-Aparts

  • Roll eight thawed Petite Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough (#12011) pieces into cinnamon sugar.
  • Place rolls on their side in a greased loaf pan.
  • Proof 45 to 60 minutes until double in size.
  • Bake approximately 16-19 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Cool, then drizzle with white icing.

Caramel Version

  • Place 6 oz. of Creamy Caramel Smear in the bottom of loaf pan.
  • Place rolls on caramel, proof and bake as directed above.
  • Once baked, cool slightly and flip out of pans onto a wax-lined baking sheet.

Butterfly Cinnamon Rolls

  • Use either 2.5 oz. (#12012), 3 oz. (#12013) or 4 oz. (#12014) Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough.
  • Cut the dough pieces in half. Roll halves in cinnamon sugar.
  • Place dough pieces into greased jumbo muffin tins.
  • Score on the top side so they spread like a butterfly while proofing.
  • Proof for 45-50 minutes or until double in size.
  • Bake 16-19 minutes at 325 degrees and cool.
  • Remove from pans and ice.

Peanut Butter & Jelly Cinnamon Rolls

  • Place 6 2.5 oz. Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough (#12012) pieces into a greased quarter-sheet pan.
  • Proof for 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Microwave 6 oz. of peanut butter and drizzle over the proofed dough.
  • Drizzle 6 oz. strawberry or grape jelly over the peanut butter.
  • Make sure to get the peanut butter and jelly into the roll’s grooves for the best taste.
  • Bake for 16-19 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Cool and drizzle with white icing.

Caramel Apple Rolls

  • Measure 12 oz. of Baker Boy’s Creamy Caramel Smear (#43022) and mix with 4 oz. of any brand of Apple Pie Filling mix.
  • Pour mixture into a quarter-sheet baking pan.
  • Place 8 of either the 2.5 oz. (#12012) or 3 oz. (#12013) Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough pieces, or 6 of the Large Cinnamon Roll Dough (#12014) pieces, into a pan.
  • Proof 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Bake approximately 16-19 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Once the rolls are baked, cool slightly and then cover the pan with a wax lined baking sheet and flip the rolls out onto the wax-lined sheet.
  • Be sure to spread the caramel evenly across the rolls.

Orange Caramel Rolls

  • Measure 12 oz. of Baker Boy’s signature Creamy Caramel Smear and add 2 oz. of frozen orange juice concentrate. Mix well.
  • Pour mixture into a quarter-sheet baking pan.
  • Place 8 of either the 2.5 oz. Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough (#12012) or 3 oz. Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough (#12013) pieces, or 12 of the Petite Cinnamon Roll Dough pieces (#12011), into pan.
  • Proof 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Bake approximately 16-19 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Once the rolls are baked, cool slightly and then cover the pan with a wax lined baking sheet and flip the rolls out onto the wax-lined sheet.
  • Be sure to spread the caramel evenly across the rolls.

Flavored Caramel Rolls

  • Pour 12 oz. of Baker Boy’s Creamy Caramel Smear (#43022) into a quarter sheet pan.
  • Sprinkle any flavor of dry Jell-O mix (Cherry, Orange, Strawberry, Green Apple, etc.) over Creamy Caramel Smear and mix gently.
  • Place six 2.5 oz. Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough pieces (#12012) on top of mixture.
  • Proof 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Bake approximately 16-19 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Once the rolls are baked, cool slightly and then cover the pan with a wax lined baking sheet and flip the rolls out onto the wax-lined sheet. Be sure to spread the caramel evenly across the rolls.

Fruit-Filled Cinnamon Rolls

  • Pan 8 Cinnamon Sweet Roll Dough (#12012) pieces and proof for 45 to 60 minutes.
  • After proofing, place 1-2 oz. of fruit filling (Apple, Cherry, Blueberry, Strawberry) into the center of each dough piece.
  • Bake for approximately 16-19 minutes at 325 degrees.
  • Let the rolls cool and then then top with Baker Boy White Icing (#44121).
