Baker Boy was founded in 1955 and has been a part of the Dickinson, North Dakota, community since 1957. The company expanded into bakery manufacturing in 1979 inside of a 3,000-square-foot facility in the city’s West Industrial Complex. Baker Boy now has 172,000 square feet of production and office space in a complex off Highway 10 west of Dickinson.

We sell our products in bulk to foodservice and supermarket distributors in multiple states. We have wide product distribution in the Upper Midwest, Great Plains, Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest states, and sell specific items – notably donuts – into the New England and Gulf Coast states, as well as northern California. Baker Boy allows walk-in customer orders at its location in Dickinson, North Dakota. You may order via phone by calling 701-225-4444. Invoices are emailed to customers, who are required to pay via credit card. Customers must then allow 24 hours for the order to process, and then can pick up their order at Baker Boy’s facility located at 170 GTA Drive Dickinson, ND 58601.

Baker Boy does not ship products to individual customers due to several logistical challenges. All products leave Baker Boy frozen and packed in bulk. We do not separate the product inside cases for shipment, nor are we set up to ship cases of bulk product.

Product samples are available to qualified business operators who purchase products through one of Baker Boy’s foodservice distributors. Email info@bakerboy.com to learn more about requesting samples of Baker Boy products and you’ll be put in touch with a Baker Boy Sales Team member to discuss the opportunity.

Baker Boy occasionally donates products locally to different events or charities. Download a Donation Request Form and return it to info@bakerboy.com. Donation requests are approved on a case-by-case basis. Call (701) 225-4444 if you have questions.

Yes! The Donut Hole® is a registered trademark of Baker Boy, Inc., and is the brand for our line of Individually Wrapped Donuts. The Donut Hole® shops in Dickinson, N.D., and Bismarck, N.D., are independently owned and operated and utilize the brand and logo through a licensing agreement with Baker Boy. Various convenience stores throughout the Upper Midwest also use The Donut Hole® brand on bakery cases through a similar licensing agreement.

Magic Ring® Donuts are unique filled ring donuts introduced by Baker Boy in 2018. The donuts are made with a proprietary filling process that ensures filling in every bite of the donut. The donuts come in several flavors and are available ready to ice, or fully finished and individually wrapped. They can be found in supermarkets, C-stores, restaurants, and more. The Magic Ring® Donut name and logo are registered trademarks of Baker Boy, Inc.

Baker Boy acquires the majority of its flour from right here in our state through the North Dakota Mill located in Grand Forks. We also get special flour mixes from Colorado, Nebraska and Washington. We buy much of our yeast from Memphis, Tenn., and our sugar from United Sugar Corp., which is based in the Red River Valley of North Dakota and Minnesota. The butter used in our products is purchased from Pride Dairy in Bottineau, N.D., and the cream we use is from Prairie Farms / Land O’Lakes in Bismarck, N.D. We get other raw materials from the East Coast and West Coast, and other materials are imported from as far away as Australia, Germany and Italy, to name a few. All of the corrugated cardboard boxes we use to ship our product are made of recycled material and purchased through WestRock in West Fargo, North Dakota.

We do not offer any gluten-free products and have no plans for this in the near future, primarily due to FDA manufacturing requirements.

While the majority of our products are nut free, our manufacturing facility is not considered nut free due to the inclusion of nuts on products manufactured on one of our four lines.

Baker Boy offers a wide variety of Ready-to-Finish Donuts, including Cake Donut Holes, large flavored Cake Donuts (such as Apple Crisp, Blueberry, and Pumpkin), Bismarcks, Long Johns, Magic Ring® Filled Donuts, and more. These options allow you to customize and serve a range of unique and delicious donuts.

Ready-to-Finish Donuts help to reduce bakery costs by eliminating the need for in-store mixing, proofing and frying. These donuts arrive pre-fried and frozen, requiring only thawing and decorating. This saves time, reduces labor costs, and minimizes the need for specialized baking equipment.

We are proud to say that our Baker Boy production facility is Orthodox Union Dairy certified, and is inspected monthly to maintain our Kosher status. Each product page lists whether or not it is considered OU-D kosher under the Product Details drop-down section.
